The 2025 Square Dance Cruise

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to see the beauty and grandeur of the Fjords on the coastline of Norway, stopping to explore 4 of Norway's coastal towns, whilst enjoying the first class entertainment and opulence of a modern cruise ship AND Square Dance at many sessions we also have planned for you.

All the Norwegian towns we're visiting are less than 1km from where the ship docks, some just a few hundred metres. No tenders and no shuttle busses - you can get off when you like and simply walk into them.

We once again are on the MSC Virtuosa, shown here, which is one of MSC's newest ships having been launched in 2019. This magnificent ship has 18 decks and 2,421 cabins, the majority of which have balconies, as well as many leisure facilities, bars and restaurants.

As we said, during the cruise you will visit 4 ports and have the opportunity to Square Dance, as well as observe dramatic landscapes as follows:

• 10th May: departing from Southampton at 4pm - no dancing, just settling in and enjoying the ship's entertainment.
• 11th May: day at sea - with a morning and afternoon dance and an evening of MSC's entertainment.
• 12th May: Haugesund, arriving at 9am and leaving at 7pm - a chance to visit this coastal town, with the option to attend an afternoon dance before the evening of the ship's entertainment.
• 13th May: Maloy (a new port for us), arriving at 8am and leaving at 5pm - a quaint fishing village on the edge of a fjord with the option of an afternooon dance, as well as evening on board.
• 14th May: Flaam, arriving at 7am and leaving at 5pm - you may want to get up early to see us sail deep into the Aurlands fjord before walking off the ship to visit this small town and maybe riding the famous Flaam train (which takes you up into the mountains), with the option of an Advanced dance in the afternoon before enjoying the spectacular scenary as we sail out of the fjord before another evening on board.
• 15th May: Kristiansand (another new one for us), arriving at 2pm and leaving at 8pm - with a dance in the morning before we arrive, everyone can explore this coastal town before returning to ship for the evening.
• 16th May: day at sea - with two final dances, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, followed by our final evening on board.
• 19th May: arriving in Southampton at 7am

As outlined above, adding to the normal Cruise ship entertainment, Kevin Lovell will be calling a mixture of Mainstream, Plus and Advanced dance sessions during the week. We hope each will be 2.5 hours long, and most will be a mix of all three levels, with one dedicated to the Advanced dancers. That is 20 hours of dancing to supplement your cruise with at least half of the time available to all of the dancers who join us. (There should be about 10 hours of MS, 6 of Plus and 3 of A1 and 1 hour of A2).

The sessions are being scheduled to minimise the impact on your enjoyment of the cruise itself. Where possible we will have them while at sea - two on each of the at sea days, one between breakfast and lunch, and one between lunch and dinner, and one in the morning before we arrive at Kristiansand, all of which will include all dance levels. Three of the sessions will be while in port, but again timed to allow everyone to visit the port too. We do not have any in the evenings so everyone can enjoy the excellent shows and entertainments laid on by MSC.

All 8 sessions will be available to you for just a £35 per person charge, which will be collected along with the balance of the cruise cost early in 2025.

Speaking of which ... We are very pleased to be able to confirm that we have arranged a discount on the cruise price you pay... one which includes full board (and en-suite cabin and all meals, plus snacks) with the upgrade to the Fantastica experience, includes a Premium Extra Drinks Package offering alcoholic drinks (up to €14 in value) as well as hot and cold drinks and bottled water, AND which includes gratuities and the standard evening shows. At the time we negotiated the prices, this was a discount of over £250 on the standard early booking prices per cabin.

The prices we are able to offer (which includes a little for our admin costs) are:

All of these prices are for a shared cabin, be it with a double bed or with twin beds (both configurations available in all cabins).
If you desire a single occupancy, this may be possible with just a 20% surcharge, but we are very limited on how many we can offer - once our allocation has gone, singles will attract a 50% surcharge, and still subject to availability.

We are also happy for non-dancers to come along too, be they a non dancing partner or friend sharing the cabin, or friends having their own cabin, we just ask for a £15 supplement per person.

As we indicated above, regardless of which cabin you choose, you will get:

• A comfortable, well appointed, en-suite cabins.
• All of your meals included, with our group sitting together for the evening meal in their early seating.
• Their 'Premium Extra Drinks Package' which gives you alcoholic drinks, house wines, virgin cocktails, sodas, juices and soft drinks, and classic hot drinks, in fact nearly everythying up to €14 bar value. More details of this are available here
• Entry to the standard West End Style Theatre shows each evening.
• Access to the sports facilities, pool and gym
• The option of room service (though there would be a surcharge for it's use in the evening, but free delivery of breakfast).

The completed form must then be sent to us... Our preference is that you scan or take a photo of it and email it to us at info@allsquare.uk If this is not possible please contact us at the same email address or on 07796695575 to get our home address so that you can mail it to us instead.

We will also require a £100 per person deposit. As this must be passed on to MSC to secure the cabin and then retained even if the booking is cancelled, this deposit is non-refundable (unless the cruise is cancelled). We hope you understand.
When you send us your booking form we will provide details of the bank account to which you should send the deposit. Again, if you are not able to do a bank transfer please let us know and we will give you our home address allowing you to mail it to us instead.

The cruise balance and dance fee will need to be paid to us by the end of January 2025.
Up to this time, should you wish to cancel, all moneies you have given us, except for the initial £100pp non-refundable deposit, will be returned to you.
After the end of January, the following will be retained based on MSC's standard cancellation policy:
    - Up to the end January: £100pp
    - Up to the 10th March: £120pp
    - Up to the 25th March: 50% of the total
    - Up to the 23rd April: 75% of the total
